Terms
1. Who operates the platform
The platforms are operated by CONNECTBASE SRL, IDNO/tax code 1023600007753, with registered office at MD-2089, Republic of Moldova, Chișinău municipality, Ciorescu village, Ștefan cel Mare street, no. 9 ("Autocare", "we"). Full contact details are available on the Legal information page.
These Terms apply to the domains autocare.md, autobuse.md and autobuze.md, the Autocare mobile application and, as regards MAIB payment, the pay.autocare.md page.
2. Definitions
User A person at least 18 years old who uses the platform, creates the account or submits a request for themselves or for other passengers. The request does not guarantee the seat and is not yet a confirmed booking. Booking The request accepted by the carrier and marked on the platform with the status "Reserved" or an equivalent confirmation status. Carrier The company identified in the offer that decides whether to accept the request, provides the transport and is responsible for the trip. Ticket The ticket or other document, including electronic, that confers the right to transport and is issued/supplied by the carrier according to the applicable flow. Hosted payment Online payment through MAIB, initiated at pay.autocare.md for a contracted and eligible carrier.3. Autocare's role and the carrier's role
3.1. What Autocare does
- publishes and structures information about trips received from carriers or connected systems;
- receives the user's request and transmits the necessary data to the carrier;
- technically receives the carrier's acceptance or refusal, including through Telegram integration;
- automatically updates the status and sends the related notifications;
- for contracted carriers marked as eligible, facilitates online collection through MAIB, based on the mandate/contract concluded with the carrier;
- provides support for the platform's operation and for payments processed by Autocare.
3.2. What the carrier does
- decides whether to accept the request and whether the seat is available;
- sets the specific conditions of transport, baggage, cancellation and refund, within the limits of the law;
- provides the trip and is responsible for the vehicle, driver, safety, schedule, baggage and performance of the transport;
- issues or supplies the ticket/transport document;
- directly manages cash payments and online payments marked as being managed by the carrier.
In the general flow, Autocare is a technical intermediary that participates in the transmission and administration of the request, without becoming a carrier. For offers from carriers without a commercial contract, trip information is provided or entered directly by the carrier, and Autocare's role is limited to hosting/listing the offer and the technical operations described below.
4. Categories of offers and payments
| Situation | Autocare's role | Who collects and is responsible for payment |
|---|---|---|
| Contracted carrier, MAIB payment at pay.autocare.md | Technical intermediation and collection of the transport price, in the name and on behalf of the carrier, based on the contractual mandate. | CONNECTBASE SRL appears as MAIB merchant and manages the payment/refund operation within the applicable policy limits. The carrier remains the transport provider and creditor of the price. |
| Cash payment on boarding | Transmission and confirmation of the booking. | The carrier collects directly. |
| Online payment managed by the carrier | The platform may display the instruction or the fact that the carrier will send the link. | The carrier or its payment provider collects and settles the payment/refund. |
| Carrier without a commercial contract with Autocare | Hosting/listing of the information provided by the carrier, technical transmission of the request, receipt of the response and notification of the user. | The carrier manages the booking, transport and any payment. Autocare does not collect money for this category, and the offer must be marked accordingly. |
5. How the booking is formed
- The user selects the trip, passengers, boarding/disembarking points and the available payment method.
- Before submission, the user sees the identity of the carrier, the price, the specific rules and accepts the applicable documents.
- Autocare transmits the request. At this stage the seat is not guaranteed and Autocare does not collect the MAIB payment.
- Immediately after successful submission, the user receives on screen and by email or notification proof of receipt of the request, with the note that the seat is not yet confirmed.
- The carrier accepts or refuses. Upon acceptance, the status becomes "Reserved", a binding booking is formed, and Autocare sends a separate confirmation.
- If MAIB payment is available, the user receives the link after confirmation and must pay within the indicated deadline. Failure to pay on time may cancel the booking.
- The ticket/transport document is provided by the carrier according to the instructions in the confirmation.
5.1. The legal effect of the actions
By accepting these Terms and pressing the submit button, the user requests the Autocare electronic service and the transmission of the request to the identified carrier. The carrier's acceptance of the request creates between the user/passenger and the carrier a binding booking for the confirmed seat and trip. The carrier must hold the seat and provide the transport according to the displayed conditions and the applicable law.
For a booking with MAIB payment, the carrier's obligation remains conditional on full payment within the communicated deadline. Payment confirmed to CONNECTBASE SRL, collected in the name and on behalf of the carrier, discharges the passenger's obligation to pay the transport price, even if settlement between CONNECTBASE SRL and the carrier takes place later. CONNECTBASE SRL does not buy and resell the transport service in its own name.
5.2. Offers from carriers without a commercial contract
For this category, before submission an information notice is displayed that identifies the carrier and the available contact details, states that Autocare has no commercial contract with it and does not collect payment, and lists the data transmitted. By pressing the "Submit request" button, the user requests the transmission to the nominated carrier of the passengers' names, the booking phone number, the route, date/time, boarding/disembarking points and any additional data expressly indicated in the form.
Autocare does not independently verify the legal data or route information provided by such a carrier. The carrier is responsible for its offer, acceptance and administration of the booking, transport, ticket and amounts collected directly. Autocare remains responsible for its own technical operations, the security of transmission, the status and notifications generated by the platform and the measures imposed on it by law after being notified of unlawful content.
Details are explained on the page How booking and the ticket work.
6. Price and payment
The price displayed to the passenger is the price set by the carrier for the trip, date, passenger category and selected options. Use of Autocare does not increase this price: for the same offer, the passenger pays the same transport price as through the carrier's direct channels.
Autocare does not add a separate service fee to the passenger, and Autocare's commission is not a surcharge applied to the ticket. The commission is owed by the carrier under the commercial contract and may be paid separately or, if that contract so provides, withheld/offset from the amounts settled to the carrier. The same contract sets out who bears the MAIB costs and how the net settled amount is calculated; these rules between companies do not change the price paid by the passenger or their rights.
An offer may expire or change before the request is submitted. If the price, carrier, payment method or other material conditions change, the user is asked to review the offer and confirm again before continuing.
7. Carrier conditions
The specific conditions regarding baggage, animals, documents, minors, seats, cancellation and refund differ between carriers and may differ on the segments of a connection. They are displayed before the request and, for MAIB payment, again before payment. In the event of a conflict, the mandatory rules applicable to the passenger prevail over the contractual conditions.
8. User obligations
- to provide correct and complete data for each passenger;
- to check the route, date, time, stops, carrier, cancellation policy and payment method;
- to monitor notifications and pay on time, if applicable;
- to arrive on time and hold the required documents, visas, consents for minors and the other necessary documents;
- not to use the platform fraudulently, abusively in automated form, or for fictitious bookings;
- to notify cancellation as soon as possible.
9. Accounts, minors and abuse
The account and request may be created only by a person at least 18 years old. Minors may be added as passengers by the adult responsible for the necessary data, documents and consents. Booking confirmation does not constitute Autocare's verification of the minor's right to cross the border.
Repeated late cancellations of cash bookings, repeated no-shows, fraud or abuse may lead to limitation or suspension of the account, after a proportional assessment. The user may request explanations at [email protected].
10. Cancellations, no-show and refunds
There is no single cancellation rule for all carriers. The policy displayed for the selected carrier and trip applies, together with the mandatory rights provided by law. The detailed rules are in the Payment, cancellation and refund policy.
If the carrier cancels the trip after an MAIB payment processed by Autocare, the full refund is scheduled automatically, and the order is initiated within a maximum of 3 hours from the valid cancellation. This window allows correction of an accidental cancellation before the order is transmitted; after initiation, the crediting date depends on MAIB and the issuing bank. For money collected directly by the carrier, the carrier is responsible for the refund.
11. Liability
Autocare is responsible for its own services: the platform's operation within reasonable limits, the correctness of its actions, the protection of data under its control and the payments/refunds processed by Autocare. The carrier is responsible for the execution of the transport and for its information/conditions.
Autocare does not guarantee that every request will be accepted, that the carrier will not change the time or vehicle, or that there will be no delays caused by traffic, border, weather or other circumstances of the trip. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be limited by law and does not restrict the mandatory rights of the consumer or passenger.
12. Platform availability
We may carry out maintenance and may modify functionalities for security, compatibility or legal requirements. We will make reasonable efforts for continuity, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the internet, the carrier's systems, Telegram, MAIB or other external services.
13. Intellectual property and permitted use
The design, software, databases, texts and elements of Autocare are protected under the law, without affecting the carriers' rights over their own trademarks and information. The user may use the platform for personal purposes, for search and booking, without mass extraction, resale, technical interference or unauthorized access.
14. Personal data and cookies
The processing of data is described in the Privacy Policy, and cookies and similar technologies in the Cookie Policy. Autocare and the carrier are independent controllers for the own purposes described there.
15. Complaints
Complaints are sent to [email protected]. We automatically acknowledge receipt, and complaints regarding Autocare services are resolved within a maximum of 14 calendar days. Complaints regarding the trip are forwarded to the carrier. Consult the Complaints Policy.
16. Applicable law
Autocare's own services and the use of the platform by the entity CONNECTBASE SRL are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova, without removing the mandatory consumer protection rules. The transport contract is subject to the carrier's conditions and the law applicable to it and to the trip. For international trips, mandatory rules of the boarding/disembarking state may become applicable, including, where the conditions are met, passenger rights provided by European Union legislation.
17. Versions and acceptance
Before the request, the user explicitly accepts the version of the documents displayed. The proof must include the version, date/time, language, platform and link to the booking. Before MAIB payment, a separate confirmation of the applicable carrier policy is requested. A material change does not apply retroactively to an acceptance already recorded, except for the mandatory requirements of the law.
